Challenge
Growing website leads and conversions
SeisWare engaged Tiller because their website wasn’t drawing enough traffic or converting.
An unintuitive user journey was partly to blame — visitors had to visit product pages before they even had the option to contact SeisWare’s sales team or submit a request for information (RFI). The site was also resource-light, which resulted in higher churn. Potentially good leads had trouble finding relevant information, like brochures and case studies.
But the biggest culprit behind the website’s poor performance was a lack of clarity. “We had received feedback from our target market that people didn’t understand what we did,” explains Paige Mamer, Marketing Specialist at SeisWare. SeisWare needed to communicate their differentiated value and stand out — especially in the U.S. markets they were targeting.

Customer discovery
To identify key differentiators, Tiller interviewed SeisWare’s customers. We wanted to know what real users loved about the platform. While many appreciated specific features or capabilities, the most repeated phrase was “easy to use.” Geologists and geophysicists loved being able to effortlessly build planning pads in 3D, run ‘what if’ scenarios, budget drilling costs, and more. Many had tried other platforms but found them too unintuitive.
We’d found the core message. SeisWare is the most intuitive geoscience software for exploration development and beyond. Now we had to revamp the website to highlight SeisWare's role in supporting geophysicists and geologists in oil, gas, and emerging energy sectors.
Top-to-bottom website redesign
In order to reduce on-site friction and increase touchpoints, Tiller helped SeisWare…
- Refine core product pages to communicate specific benefits for geology, geophysics, and field development. We also augmented strong copy with more product imagery.
- Add more up-front information on product packages, such as “Geoscience Exploration” and “Geoscience Development,” to address specific industry needs and use cases.
- Add calls to action (CTAs) on every page to facilitate intuitive user journeys.
SEO copywriting
The website puts users first but it also adheres to SEO best practices. Optimized copy on each page helps SeisWare rank for target keywords, drawing in more organic traffic. Website completed ahead of schedule
It needs to be said — Paige was an incredibly engaged point of contact. Whenever she needed to review copy or bolster our geoscience knowledge, she responded quickly and enthusiastically. Due to that strong collaboration, we completed the new website a full week ahead of schedule.

Boosted conversions in target market
Shortly after launch, Tiller and SeisWare analyzed the new site’s performance. Measuring two months on either side of the launch revealed stunning improvements, including 23% higher organic traffic and 93% more form fills and brochure downloads.
Additionally, Paige noted an unexpected increase in global reach. RFIs were now coming from all around the world — and volume from the U.S. market nearly tripled. The previous website wasn’t equipped to handle more variety in RFIs, but the new website gave SeisWare the ability to distinguish Academic RFIs from interest in SeisWare packages and products.
